The New Jersey Herald reports that the 31st annual "Dale's Chilly-Chili Run" motorcycle ride fielded more riders than ever before. 960 motorcycles showed up, totalling 1,000 riders, and 2 dogs, for the hour-long ride. The ride benefits the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Newton, NJ.
At first, the chefs preparing the chili didn't think they made enough to feed all the riders. Last year's ride fetched 700 riders, which was then a record. But in the end they had enough chili to provide second helpings to many riders.
