NowAuto Inc., which is developing the Navicom GPS device for a variety of markets, said Monday that it is working with a large Harley-Davidson dealer in Southern California to test its product as a motorcycle theft deterrent.
The GPS works by creating a small GPS-defined field, know as a "Geo-Fence" around your motorcycle. If your motorcycle leaves the Geo-Fence, the GPS device notifies you by e-mail, text messaging, fax or voice notification. It can also alert you if the battery is running low.
Of course, it also works like the Lo-Jack device as a "theft recovery" system, providing current speed, location, and driving directions.

The link to the company is bogus... but I think this is a good idea. I wonder if it'd work on a Bar-B-Q Grill...
