Motorcycle Lanes

>> Friday, January 05, 2007

In my last post, I asked the question how us bikers can reduce the number motorcycle-related accidents.

I didn't have an easy solution, as most of the motorcycle deaths were caused by a cager who wasn't looking.

Well, how about motorcycle lanes on freeways?

If car-pools can have freeway lanes all to themselves, why not motorcycle lanes?

Having a lane where only two-wheeled vehicles are allowed to go would help reduce the number of accidents, by keeping cagers out of these lanes.

It would also encourage more people to ride motorcycles, which will reduce our demand for fossil fuels. That's for you environmentalists out there.

Wow talk about an escape from reality thinking. You think ANY state is going to fund a undertaking such as a Motorcycle Lane? Yes and houses will be made of chocolate and everyone will get along and no more crime in your fairy tale nation. Unemplyment sky rocketing, the Defeciet, not to mention the percentage of mororcycles to automobiles. Yes a motorcycle lane, hmm maybe Florida will be the only state to actually be able to use it all year long. I have heard stupid things before, this is like someone who believes in the ToothFairy.
