Man Arrested for Taking Toddler on Motorcycle

by Steve
Friday, August 31, 2007

Police in Shafton, PA arrested 33 year old Michael Marincic after he rode a motorcycle with his toddler on his lap.

Marincic didn't drop the toddler, nor was the toddler harmed in any way. He was still charged with child endangerment.

TV station WTAE in Pittsburgh goes on to add...

Neighbors called police to tell them Marincic was riding for more than a half-hour, sometimes taking his hands off the handlebars.
Marincic apparently told police he was a motorcycle safety instructor.

I certainly would not have done the same, I would worry too much. But then again, no one is a better judge of their abilities, as well as the child's behavior, than Marincic himself.

  • Mr. Marincic was not arrested. Mr. Marincic and his son were sharing a ride together no more than 5 miles per hour on a residential road. The kid loves bikes and so does Mr. Marincic.

"Vroom, Vroom" is the comment the child made

  • Sorry this is insane! If the child wasn't hurt there is no reason for this- we used to ride with our child between us, as did all of our friends with their children. Never a problem there! Nosey neighbors!
