For 2008, Yamaha introduces a new Road Star model, the "Road Star S".
It's the same thing as the previous Road Star Midnight, except it's no longer black. It's "Charcoal Silver" with ghost flames. The factory flame job is evidence that Yamaha wants to offer classier paint to better compete with Harley.
The Road Star Midnight has is now discontinued. Or at least, think of the Road Star S as the Midnight, but with different paint.
Otherwise, it has the same chrome accents that the Road Star Midnight came with, chome controls, chrome levers, chrome forks.
It comes with the same fuel injected engine as the standard 2008 Road Star.
Pricing is set at $12,599, compared to $12,099 for the Road Star Midnight of 2007.
It won't be available until March 2008.

News and views from around the biker world, from the rallies, the rides, the clubs, and anything else worth talking about.
