Magpie Attacks Child Motorcyclist

Swooping magpie signThe Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported that a child motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a magpie attacked him while riding in Central Queensland.

Last night he was flown to Mackay Hospital with serious head and facial injuries.

A magpie is a medium-sized bird known for swooping from behind in an attempt to protect their nests.
