Love RideThe folks from the Love Ride Foundation writes to us today that they now have new merchandise in their online store...

So, if you weren't able to make it to the world's biggest RUB rally last year, you can at least buy your Love Ride pin online and make people think that you did.

  • Who buys that crap? I mean, if you were there then at least you have it legitimately (and if you're like me you threw it out when you got home), but why would you buy the stuff from a past Love Ride?

  • Bikers buy this "crap" to put on their vests. It shows where you've been and what you support. The "want a be's" have no idea what these things are for. If you want to know where a "real biker" has been and what he/she supports, look at their vests.

  • That's not quite true. My club supported the Love Ride this year 20-strong, just as we do every year. NONE of us wear Love Ride pins on our cuts.

Our feeling is that it's the wanna-be's who wear this stuff.

  • Not all real bikers wear pins on their cuts to show where they have been we don't really care if you know. Most real bikers don't have the Love Run on their " good things to do list" since good ol Jerry Lewis makes enough money on his yearly telethon. I like to donate and know where my money is going such as the toy runs that many including the great 1% clubs put on every year, I may attend several of those and you won't know it because I don't wear a pin on my vest saying so.

  • Just a recommendation: On the same day as the Rub Ride is the "One more from the heart" ride. This ride is TO the Totally Kids Hospital in Loma Linda. The COC is heavily involved and you get to spend the day with the kids. You aren't paying any overhead or to say you hung out with SELL-ebrities. EVERY penny goes to the kids. For all you "REAL BIKERS" You won't get any damn run pin on this ride - just the feeling that you know you made a difference in a child's life!

  • I remember a MC in Houston called the Reapers. I used to see them in the late 60's at Milby Park in Pasadena. I do not know what happened to that MC.

  • They probably made too many and that is why they are selling them. Although if people are wearing a bunch of pins and they don't attend these rallys...that is pretty lame.
