Next time you plan to vacation in Africa, stay away from Nigeria.

Apparently, it's common practice to relieve one's self of fecal excrement on public roadways, in open view of everyone.

As The Daily Trust reports...

In Abuja, the nation's capital for instance, it is not unusual to see adults stooping by the roadside and passing excreta, oblivious of motorists and passersby.

It goes on to say that this practice was once limited to rural areas, but is now a common sight in the big cities, thanks to motorcyclists...

The situation was worse when commercial motorcyclists were allowed into the city as they would park their cycles and stoop to answer nature's call nearby.

When it rains, the festering excretia is washed into nearby rivers and streams, which happens to be used as drinking water.
