What started out as a purchase of a jacket, turned out to be 80 days of e-mails, phone calls, and headaches.

Thanks for the link and your recent comments.
DO NOT BUY FROM RIDE GEAR.....Ride Gear is now operating as a scam. I can't belive the CA Attorney General is letting them still operate. They too me for $70.
You cant even get anyone to answer an email or phone.
Sounds like a total nightmare, but thanks for sharing this - good to know! I just got into motorcycles recently working for Progressive Motorcycle Insurance, and it’s really awesome how passionate people are about their bikes. If you’re going to be at Sturgis this year, we’re sponsoring Thunder Road! You can get a coupon for a free t-shirt custom designed by Sucker Punch Sallys by hitting http://motorcycle.progressive.com/motorcycle-rallies-events.aspx - print the coupon and bring it to our booth at Sturgis for your free shirt, and from there you’ll have a chance to win a new bike also designed for Progressive by Sucker Punch Sallys.
Hope I haven’t overstepped any bounds by letting you know about this directly, but figured it’s something a lot of you might be interested in. Email me at gia.progressive@gmail.com if you want further info!
Ride safe,

meh... ignore the weird codes. don't know what that's about lol
★★mybikermatch.com★★ is the first and largest dating for biker singles. Biker girls, biker boys, biker woman, biker guys, biker babes, biker chicks and all riders of Harley-Davidson, Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Gold Wing, BMW, Triumph, BSA, Indian Motorcycles, Choppers.
i ordered from them a few years ago and didn't have any problems... dunno maybe they changed for the worse?
It would be great to know if the item runs true to size or not...also free shipping makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM...HAD TO REVERSE CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD....THEY TOTALLY SUCK
They used to be "ok" but I have seen their service go from bad to terrible to nonexistant. I buy from JC Whitney and BikeBandit.com. They have both been good, but BikeBandit.com is the best in my opinion.
I made a purchase of a quadivator for $1002.48 in Feb 2008. I received nothing and could not get my money back ( still have nothing). I did get to talk to the owner of Ride Gear and the district attorney of CA and have lots of promises but no money back. It's suprising that the District Attorny doesn't consider this fraud by Ride Gear. Does anyone have any contact number they could post so people that got taken by this company can blitz them with phone calls and emails?

Wow! If you used a credit card you should be able to "charge it back" or "dispute the charge"!
I think the internet is just like any other business. Only buy from companies that you can trust (friends recomend, BBB members, good customer reviews)...
I like BikeBandit.com. They are fair and ship fast.
Thanks for the tip!! Always appreciated adviced of this kind! Thanks
Not all credit card banks have good customer service. I received a product so my credit card company did not consider it fraud. Then I returned the product and didn't receive anything back. I wrestled with Ride Gear for weeks. Then my credit card said I took too long to file a complaint.
Dennis Kirk is great!
Ride Gear still owes me $143 and change ... for almost a year; First excuses after excuses ... now won't answer phones or respond to e-mails. AS OTHERS HAVE SAID .... SHOULD THESE SNAKES RESURFACE ... DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM !!!
I have shopped at ridegear.com several times over the last couple years but my most recent purchase was never shipped to me. I spent $67.49 on a jacket and my credit card was immediately charged but the jacket was never shipped. No e-mail saying it was shipped was ever sent. I contacted their customer service over 40 times in the last 10 months with only 3 responses. They absolutely never answer the phone, it just says to wait and after about 10 minutes instructs you to leave a message but doesn't let you before it hangs up.
I honestly believe this company was doing a good business for many years but something just went wrong and it is evident this is no longer a legit company according to the hundreds of other reviews like mine that are now popping up. We can never trust Ridegear again :(.
In the last 10 months I have gone as far as contacting Ed, the CEO of ridegear who forwarded me to their account manager. Both of these people said it would be easier for them if I were to just file a claim against their company with my credit card issuer to get my money back. The problem with that is after 3 months my credit card company does not allow me to file such a claim. Ed and the account manager have been contacted by the BBB to which they responded for me to be patient as they mailed a money order in the next couple days, which never arrived. After more continued e-mails they again said a money order would be sent, that was my last contact with them over 3 months ago. They no longer respond to my e-mails and still have sent me no jacket, no responses to e-mails/calls, and no refund.
PLEASE CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
If you are in this situation also, please contact the BBB so this company's fraud can be even more publicized.
Add JAFRUM to this list too. They wouldn't even talk with the BBB.

Hello from Holland
I also believe it is a very bad company.
Don`t buy from them, you can`t
trust them.
They also have my money.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that RideGear.com name was purchased by Cruiser Customizing, Inc. a wonderful motor sports supplier. You can check out the press release at http://www.ridegear.com
They are back online... I can't belive they had the balls to open the site again. For all of you who are owed money... I would give them a call and say "pay up"!
I continue to order from BikeBandit.com. Great service and shipping. A solid company to deal with in my opinion.
