Rock The Gear Relaunches Encouragement

RockTheGear.org, which promotes gearing up while riding, has relaunched. The Roadrash Queen Brittany Morrow has relaunched the website that not only encourages ATTGATT, but shares news about the latest motorcycle gear and protective gear technology.

After a crash while she was a passenger on a sportbike, Morrow had to receive skin grafts on more than 50 percent of her body because she had been wearing no gear. Having learned a painful lesson, she has been an advocate for always wearing a full gear and started RockTheGear.org in 2008 with funding from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Morrow said, "I'm not trying to sell anything, but I do hope that riders ‘buy into’ an idea that wearing gear is a smart choice for individuals, their family and friends, their wallets and the community as a whole. I've been relying solely on social media to spread the word about the relaunch since Sunday. Motorcyclists who value the message and quality of information have been extremely supportive by reposting, retweeting and reblogging in great numbers."

Morrow will also be doing some live promotions with gear fittings and presentations at two upcoming Icon Freestyle events in California. She will be at South Bay Motorsports in Chula Vista on April 5, from 12:30-5 p.m. On June 4, she will be at Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino from 5-8 p.m.
