Biker Gang Spies - The Life After

by Steve
Tuesday, December 18, 2007

If you're a police spy, hired to infiltrate a 1%er club, what will your life be like when your job is done? Can you resume life without fear?

That's the topic the Winnipeg Free Press discussed in an article they published today. The describe a trend where life-long bikers are tempted into becoming police spies in exchange for a windfall of cash.

But when they're spying is over, the headaches begin...

Scotty "Taz" Robertson is the latest to find employment. The 49-year-old career biker hang-around has spent the past year infiltrating Hells Angels activities in a sting operation dubbed "Project Drill."

And Robertson might not want to get too comfortable, wherever he is. Double-crossing the world's most notorious motorcycle gang means always having to watch your back and never getting settled.

The money he was paid will likely run out one day, but the anxiety caused by being a "marked man" will stay with him forever.
Making matters worse is that the very law enforcement organization that hired them often turns against them.

Canadian Hells Angels Launches Advertising Campaign

by Steve
Thursday, December 23, 2004

Ontario Hells AngelsReported last week on CTV, a Canadian television network, the Ontario wing of the Hells Angels have put up a billboard on a Toronto highway as part of a public relations campaign to improve its image.

The motorcycle gang says they want to "right the wrongs" done to them by the "government-controlled" media.

The Angels' PR campaign comes amid an ongoing trial in Barrie, Ont., north of Toronto, in which the Crown is trying to prove that the Hells Angels are a criminal organization.

If prosecutors succeed, the gang's powers could be severely limited.

The billboard reads: "Still fighting for democracy and freedom" and directs people to their website. There, the gang claims that stories written about them in local and national papers "tell you everything-- but the truth."
