Athena starting riding motorcycles with her father at the age of 6 in Illinois. At the age of 7, her father, "Chicago" Phil moved the family to Florida. Her father and brothers had been riding choppers since the '60s, and she knew her future was in the motorcycle world. She just wasn't sure in what capacity.

Athena has now joined the ranks of other builders, such as Voodoo Choppers, in building a custom motorcycle for the 1 in 8 Breast Cancer Motorcycle Series, as her way of giving something back to society.
