Pulled up to the Take Out Window, clerk says: "We don't serve motorcycles at the Drive Up Window. If you want something you have to come inside"

Asked why, was told, same line of BS. By this time, cars were starting to line up behind bike. Asked for Manager, was told to come inside to talk with Manager. Asked for Manager again. Told to wait until he was ready to see me. By this time again, cars are honking their horns.
Apparently, this happened at a Wendy's.

I don't think I've ever tried this before. But I often visit the Jack In The Box and Carl's Jr in my town. I may try this to see what happens.

  1. I've never had a problem. I've gotten a few "Well, this is a first for me."

I laugh and say, "It's no big deal as long as I don't order a drink."

  2. I have been told that a lot of chains have a no motorcycle at drive thru's policy due to their insurance rules. The logic they claim is cagers have room to store food while driving.

  3. I've never had a problem and have seen no signs prohibiting motorcycles from the drive thru. If there are no signs posted and you are refused service, get a lawyer. Descrimination comes in all forms.

  4. I was just denied service at a Wendy's while on my bike. I couldn't even get someone to come to the window.

As far as I know, that is discrimination, and against the law.

  5. Four of us were on a cross Province trip and before getting our late hotel, we stopped at a Wendys, but the dining room was closed, so we decide to use the drive through because that was the only restaurant still open. They refused to serve us because we were on motorcycles. We were confused and couldn't see the reasoning behind the service refusal. They didn't have an actual reason except to say it was company policy. We were completely baffled and angry. Arguing was pointless. We ended up going to a gas station and getting potato chips. That was our supper after a long ride. I don't know about the other three riders I was with, but I have boycotted Wendys ever since.
